On Sunday, we had the joyous occasion of celebrating the engagement of Pratiksha’s sister Mahima and Rupesh.
Engagement’s in Nepal aren’t quite the same as in the UK, with them being an event in themselves. However, this was bigger than most because Kritee, Pratiksha’s youngest sister, will be in Canada when the wedding takes place in April.
The engagement was held at the family’s fellowship group and featured worship before the happy couple were escorted into the hall to sit at the front. There followed prayer and a short message from the pastor before exchanging rings. Afterwards, we enjoyed taking pictures before sharing a delicious meal.
We are now all looking forward to the main event in April.
