Dhaulagiri Massif

Such an amazing sight to see!

This was well worth the 5 am start and the sub-freezing temperatures. To witness God’s beauty appear before your eyes at sunrise is a true privilege.

The Dhaulagiri massif in Nepal extends for 120 miles. Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest mountain in the world at 8,167 metres (26,795 ft) above sea level. Dhawala means dazzling, white, beautiful and giri means mountain. Certainly, a fitting name seeing this view.

The sun shining from behind the mountains, and then to the right turning each peak a golden pink colour was breathtaking.
